Tierschutz Bremerhaven e. V. has been based in Wurster Straße in Speckenbüttel with its animal shelter since 1958. In March 2020, our animal shelter finally moved to Vieländer Weg 137.

The building covers almost 6,000 square metres and includes a cat and dog house, bird area, exotic animal station and rodent area. Outside, there are various dog kennels, exercise areas, a dog hotel, rodent runs and two paddocks. A stable facility for hoofed animals is being planned and will be built in the course of the year.
